Most arrests on a police server end one of two ways: the suspect complies, or somebody gets shot. This fills the gap between those, and it changes how a foot pursuit finishes.

What it does

Drawing the canister and firing puts a cone of spray in front of the officer. Anyone standing in it is blinded, their aim drifts and they double over — enough to close the distance and get cuffs on, not enough to be a death sentence. The effect is timed rather than permanent, so a suspect who breaks away still has a route out.

Washing it out

An affected player can cut the effect short at a water source instead of standing still and waiting it out. That gives the scene somewhere to go: officers walk them to a tap, medics get called, and the whole thing plays as an incident rather than a stun-lock.

Keeping it fair

Range and duration sit in the config, so a server that wants a brief stagger and one that wants a proper incapacitation can both have it. Use of the canister can be limited by job, so a civilian who finds one cannot carry it around as a weapon.

Fitting it in

It sits alongside a cuffing script rather than replacing one — spray, close, restrain. Runs on ESX, QBCore and Qbox, and it does not mind which inventory you use, since the canister is an ordinary item.
